Receiving The United States Tennis Association’s Award of Achievement, the design of the Gillenwaters Tennis Park Complex was awarded honors as an outstanding public tennis facility. Intended for city, state and national tennis competitions, the site’s low-lying features and natural drainage patterns were award-winning features.
The unique design of McDonald’s 30th anniversary store was one of eight selected nationwide for inclusion in a commemorative publication distributed to stores in all regions.
The facility of Vogue Cleaners in Springfield, Missouri received top honors for outstanding design efficiency from the American Dry Cleaner’s 26th nationwide, plant design award program.
Both theaters have been included in a publication by a major pre-engineered building manufacturer. The two projects represent a fast-track approach to construction.
The Shrine Mosque in Springfield was chosen for inclusion in several interior suppliers’ worldwide publications as an example of interior
renovation.
The Kansas City Chapter of the Illuminating Engineers Society presented Marshall Waters Woody Associates an “Excellence of Design”
award for the lighting in the Seville Square McDonald’s. The firm’s direct/indirect lighting use was an innovation in food-service facilities.
The MCI Call Center in Springfield was selected as the winner of the 1997 Star Master Builder of the Year Award. This award is Star Manufacturing’s highest honor for design excellence among its 900+ member builders.
The design of Wanda Gray Elementary School, a joint project, was published in the November 1986 issue of American Schools and Universities. The facility’s prototype Learning Resource Center continues to be added to elementary schools throughout the R-12 School District.
The Parrish Hall and Cloister addition to this historical church was awarded “Project of the Year” by the Springfield Contractors Association in 2007.
