Ozarks Food Harvest

  • Year: 2008 & 2017
  • Size: 101,750 SqFt
  • Type: New Construction
  • Use: Office/Warehouse
  • Location: Springfield, Missouri

In 2008 our firm was selected to design a new warehouse and distribution facility for Ozarks Food Harvest. The PEMB building encapsulated almost 45,500 s.f. on the first level with an additional 3,750 s.f. on the upper level. The main level accommodates approximately 7,000 s.f. of administration, 10,000 s.f. of freezer and cooler with the balance of space for warehousing and processing. Although this need building met the current needs of the organization by 2017 they realized additional space was needed. This need translated into an additional 52,500 s.f. building and freezer/cooler capabilities doubling their current space. Additional within the new building space was allocated for additional administrative spaces, breakroom and toilet facilities. At completion the total space available exceeds 100,000 s.f.

Southwest Missouri Human Society

  • Year: 2009
  • Size: 14,850 SqFt
  • Type: New Construction
  • Use: Not For Profit
  • Location: Springfield, Missouri

The pre-engineered metal building of 14,850 s.f. was built to replace the existing aging buildings and combine their functions into one state of the art facility. The new facility increased their capacity 38% while providing a temperature-controlled animal shelter that makes both animals and people feel happy, safe, and comfortable. To help ensure the health and safety of pets and people, incoming future pets are provided an area where they may be acclimated to their environment to help minimize their stress, and where staff may get to know the pet and their health and temperament. There is also a full veterinary clinic which also provides spay/neutering services.
